unbutu logo studio version

As an old BeOS fan, I love the idea of having a OS that focuses on multimedia. This is the focus of Ubuntu studio. With an OS optimized for Music, Audio and Video software, you can focus on your creativity. Like most linux builds, the OS and applications are free.

retailmenot

I hate looking online for website coupons. The majority of sites out there, have expired coupons, more advertisements than bargains, or pop-ups!. Usually, I’ll give up and pay full price

RetailMeNot.com is different. Valuable coupons and a nice clean interface. Some of the coupons were out of date, but you can see the usage success rate of each one. Plenty of popular coupons for sites like: polo.com and amazon.com

Worth a look if you are looking for a deal.

zonbu

There have been very cheap computers in the past, but this is one of the first ‘green rated’ computer. With a zero emissions footprint, this computer will save you around $10.00 a month vs. using a standard computer.

As you can expect, Zonbu runs linux and comes with Open Office, Skype and various other open source applications. Hard drive is a 4GB flash drive, but this computer might be considered to be used more like a internet device. Motherboard is Intel VIA and the entire computer is smaller than a breadbasket. :)

zonbu

Others are saying that the device is very slick, and looks beautiful. The price of the Zonbu is $99.00, but there is a monthly service fee of $12.95. From what I can gather, the fee grants you 25GB of online storage.
With size, price, and features, the Zonbu may be prefect for the back to school crowd. I have thought about sending something similar to my less-than-tech-savvy parents in the past… the Zonbu may be in their future.

3D Mailbox is a email client with a twist. Email is virtualized into 3D characters. Good email is represented by bikini models sitting around the pool, Spam is a sumo styled character who gets eaten by a shark when you delete. Interesting concept. I’m sure it appeals to someone out there… to me it doesn’t sound like it will replace my gmail anytime soon. If anyone has tried it, I would love to hear more.

line rider

Line Rider has been out on the internet for a while now, but will soon be a Nintendo Wii game. For those of you who haven’t played, it’s a free flash game with a big following. The point is to draw tracks for your virtual sleigh rider, although the fun part is to watch as your rider does Evil Knievel style jumps and loops.

What I recently learned is that there is a cult following for this game on YouTube. Folks make giant tracks with very elaborate designs and drawings. They are very enticing to watch, with over 1Million page views, the rest of the internet agrees.

Try it out before shelling $50.00 for the Wii version.

i make mistakes

imakemistakes.com is a waste of time, and we mean it in the nicest way possible. People posts their mistakes, you rank them. A lot are fictional (we hope) and very funny. So waste a little bit of time, visit imakemistakes.com

Here are a couple of our favorite mistakes:

“I slept at Michael Jackson’s house”

“I used a PC instead of a Mac.”

“I wasted 8 years of my life on the Internet.”

“I wasted my time watching the movie Wild Orchid.”
